Have you ever heard of the method “oil pulling”? I didn’t hear until I started researching about coconut. It seems that ancient ayurvedic remedy is for oral health and detoxification. It involves the use of pure oils as agents to extract the bacteria, fungi and other harmful organisms in the mouth, teeth, gums and even neck.
How to do it? Every morning, on an empty stomach take about a tablespoon of coconut oil cold pressed and rinse your mouth with it … move the oil through all your mouth , through all the nooks and crannies, chew it well between your teeth and so on for about 10 minutes-the more the better. After you have finished, do not swallow the oil for now it’s full of all sorts of toxins. Throw it out and rinse your mouth with warm water, then wash your teeth with a small amount of toothpaste. You must wait at least 10 minutes with the oil in your mouth to pull all toxins from the large vessels of blood in the mouth; as blood circulates through these vessels is purified.
As you chew the oil, it keeps getting better with the saliva, forming an emulsion. In this way, there are extracted and eliminated the bacteria that form plaque and all kinds of waste products and toxins that creates all kinds of problems (bad breath, gums bleeding, inflamed or yellow teeth and sensitive to decay etc).
Besides helping in oral hygiene, is a method of detoxifying the entire body-especially the upper digestive system-strengthening of the immune system, improve the overall health and even for improvement and healing of some disease.
